    Default 600K INLAND questions/help, please...

    Gents, et al:

I have two (2) M1 carbines with Inland receivers. Can you help with manufacturing dates if possible and MAYBE with SRS info?

    Inlands as follows:

    1. Ser. 678013, Father's DCM Sales carbine
    2. Ser. 697401, has serial number on receiver heel as normal, adjustable rear sight obscures the manufacturer not the serial. Second hand-stamped 697401 forward of rear sight also.

    Thanks, Geoff

About August 1943 for both of those carbines. The second one had the serial number stamped on the front of the dovetail when the new adjustable sight was added during a rebuild. This was listed in the TM's as what was to be done when rebuilt but many times this was ignored and not stamped as it was time consuming.
