  1. Default 520-30 Gun Show Find

I was at a local Fun Show and found a very nice, all matching Stevens 520-30 trench gun missing the heat shield. Price was a pretty reasonable (I Think) $1400. This makes me sad, as I recently sold a minty Stevens heat shield that I had gotten for a steal and made a tidy profit on.

In the event I can find a reasonably priced heat shield, I wonder if the whole shebang will be a good investment. Any thoughts on this?

  2. Default

If you have to pay $600 for a bayonet adapter, you have over $2k into it. Not a great deal.
The gun should have been bought for $500

  3. Default

Fortunately, I did not buy it. When I see complete guns go for $2,000-$2,500, I wonder if the gun and a correct replacement heat shield might equal more than the investment? For example, this one just sold for over $2,200. I think an auction might have gotten more.
