You would think by now someone would already have available for sale at Brownell's a Lyman Alaskan "Sniper Upgrade Kit" with the sliding sunshade and attaching parts and a new Rubber Eyepiece, with many new Vintage Sniper Match in process or already built. And the Alaskan, being the best affordable "original" scope (post war and Korea, as well as for the original prototypes and, interestingly, even seen in some WWII newsreals/correspondent photos!) preserves "the look" of an original sniper, which a K Weaver 2.5 does not. Somebody ought to market the different Alaskan reticle styles as well, as I understand that is not too hard to change reticles. CC
