I don't see any issues. In fact, it looks very nice. Did you have any specific concerns?

No, just overall opinion, some smaller parts phosphate darker than the slide and frame?
The color, wear pattern, patina and P proofs look good. You should have an ordnance flaming bomb provisional inspection mark above the firing pin hole behind the firing pin stop and in the mainspring channel. The mainspring housing is Remington Rand. Great looking Ithaca. I posted a WTB last month looking for an Ithaca in the 1.4 million or 1.2 million range. If you decide to sell it please keep me in mind. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
Hi bob, the ribs in the housing concerned me, but I wondered whether RR, and IGC shared parts?
I have never seen any documentation Ithaca used Remington Rand mainspring housings. I learned a long time ago to never say never when it comes to U.S military weapons. I believe in the Scott Gahimer school of thought about "making things right" ie leave it alone. If it were my pistol, I would leave the mainspring housing on it! If you just can't live with it you can change it out or give me a call, it will be a struggle, but I think I might be able to live with it. Nice Ithaca with some great honest wear and patina. Best.....Bob
Is the hammer OK for Ithaca?
Later hammers were grooved..but this is Ok for this period
Told you it was OK Andy.
