  1. Default Rock-Ola Recoil plate

I picked up a type three recoil plate last week end at Reno show. It is marked Rock Ola on the top of tang and PU I think on right side of tang??? Any thoughts? I have never seen one double marked like that.

    TIA

Rock-Ola did receiver 2000 recoil plates from Underwood in February 1944. One of the sub-contractors for Underwood making recoil plates was Parker Wire Goods but no stamping for them is listed. This might be the PU on the plate.

do you know what a correct marked rockola recoil plate looks like? it maybe some may have faked stamped rockola?

It transferred from another manufacturer it would have a R stamped or engraved on the top.

That sounds reasonable to me. Parker Wire Goods for Underwood, I have seen many R over SG ones.
