Default How to remove Type 99 and 38 barrels

A friend asked me to help remove barrels from some Type 99 and 38 receivers he has. I have a barrel vise and action wrench. Now I have removed 03, Garand and Mauser barrels and installed them. But the Japanese barrels would not budge.
What is the secret to getting these off?

Apply more elbow grease..... Ok, seriously, I can't wait for a real answer. I have a small stack of these to do.

If you have the correct wrench, vice and torque and it still won't budge.... Remove the rear sight, chuck the barrel in a lathe and make a "relief" cut in the barrel at the receiver joint.
Cut close to the receiver but do not touch it.
