Your rifle was definately in canada. Mine only has one "C" and broad arrow on the stock. I don't know anything about white paint. The proof marks are styleized/art deco eagle heads.

Thanks John, I see the Eagles head now that you say that. Does your make and Serial number on receiver have white paint in them like mine?
