    Just got this, I believe it to be ex- Pacific Coast Militia Rangers issue. All W parts except the sight leaf, I had to replace it with an Eddystone one since someone filed the battle aperture into a buckhorn. Pretty nice old rifle! Most of the PCMR ones I have seen were marked with only a C broad arrow on the wood, and no red paint. This one has those characteristics, and opening up the rear sight was pretty common with old timers out here, that were used to open sights.

    Nice condition. One of the most underrated battle rifles in history. Thank goodness the Brits contracted in the US and the production lines were already set up...
