Default An Air rifle not a Enfield, but it is .303

    www.airgunsofarizona.com
Wolverine.303, 100 foot pounds muzzle energy, five shot magazine
At $2695 this ain't no toy! supposedly suitable for small game

I doubt if anyone here would buy one, but the caliber is interesting
    made in the U.K.

The site link is good. Once there click on Daystate in the manufacturers listing. Then on Wolverine in the header line once there.
Impressive, but I have no need for one. Don't have $27k for a bb gun either.

Aside from my small firearms collection I have an equal number of air rifles. Most of them are pre 1960 and classic BSAs and German Falkes. I have never viewed them as toys or inferior to firearms. When the mood takes me I can go out onto our back deck and plink away at paper targets or my favourite target McDonalds give away toys. From time to time friends and family join in the fun. Only a couple of weeks ago we were invited to dinner at a relative’s house and I was expressly asked to bring a couple of air rifles for entertainment in the garden. Great fun. Most are rifles are more complex then firearms and have come a long way since the humble BB gun.

Have a No4mk1 air rifle. You don't pump up the rifle but rather the cartridges, and it uses aluminum bullets

Now that's something I would like to see.

I don't think they are available anymore. It uses .303 cases with a small air bottle inside the case. You pump them up, insert the aluminum bullet and then load them in the magazine. In .22 calibre
It was probably a victim of the current brit gun laws.

The Daystate Wolverine is brand new. It is is precharged pnumatic premium quality air rifle. All the Daystates are spendy. I think these are made for the US market becuase we do not require a special license for airguns over 12 ft/lbs like they do in England. As far as english law is concerened these are firearms. Daystate is an English company, and natuarally they chose .303 as their caliber designation. They wanted a 30 cal air rifle on the market to compete with the Crossman .357, and other high power sporters that are taking wild hogs, and coyotes. There are even airguns that shoot broadhead arrows.

No , I got it from Worldwidearms in the U.K.
also another sporting rifle that uses larger airbottle cartridges that use .22 pellets. The air pump is also much larger.
