    Default Rifle 404203

I have a Soldiers handbook and scorebook on the U.S. M-1917 rifle that was used to keep score of rifle No. 404203. I don't know if it was an Edystone, Remington or a Winchester. Has anybody ever seen a rifle with this number? Just checking on a long shot, but you never know. Fred G.

Fred, could be any of them, is the book dated?, might give a clue. I'm picking up a very high number (671xxx) in about a week, sure isn't that one!...lol

It was ended, life in the Army went on though. It would be quite an addition if one had that rifle.
