  1. Default 1884 Trapdoor stamps

    A co-worker picked up a nice 1884 with two unusual stamps. On the wrist there is a "Western" stamped into the wood and on top of the butt there is an "ORE".

    Any ideas as to what these are?

    Well, "ORE" could have some Oregon connection, but "Western" is probably Western Costume Company, who used to rent guns to the movie industry.

    Makes sense. I have a CBD (Cecil B. DeMille) stamped Krag from the CMP.
