    Where can a guy buy a pair of original double diamond wood grips for a 1911 45 pistol? Thanks,

    ebay or gunbroker. look to pay $2-$300 for a nice set.

    It's highly unlikely you will find a nice pair of original M1911 type grips. Most of the ones for sale are pretty ratty. The good ones are normally on a nice pistol.

    Ebay can be really good, look for people selling 1 left grip or 1 right grip and you can get them cheap once in a while.

    Thanks guys these are for my buddy. I read the threads to him and he said he doesn't want pristine grips and will get some beat up ones at a gun show sometime.

    If he isn't picky, you can get perfect repros fairly cheap. Usually cheaper than rough originals....just a thought.
