  1. Default Mystery 1911A1 Markings?

I've seen 1911A1s with British, Canadian and even Russian markings but I've never seen any like these. Can someone tell me what they are? They look German-like but I haven't a clue. They are on a 1.1MM serial number Colt 1911A1.

I had a victory revolver with the same markings. I'm not sure under what scenario they were proofed that way.

Might inquire over on the m1 carbine boards . CMP brought in a lot of carbines issued to post war police units . Some are into collecting them and they have an understanding of the added markings .
