  1. Default Saginaw SG question

I have a Saginaw SG sn 3,28x,xxx. The receiver has the wide tang on the back. I know that the Saginaw SG's had both types of tangs.

My question is does the wide tang have any meaning? I did not see any info in my books about it.

    Thanks

The wide tang was in use by S.G. starting in July 1943. That is when they switched from the narrow tang to the wide one. Nothing really special about it.

    Thank you very much.
