Default Pala range North San Diego County

Finially got to join this shooting association. Got tired of the hand wringing about everything at my old club and now shoot at a range which is mostly steel targets at ranges near 1000yds. I'll see if I can post a picture, this is the nicest range I've seen yet.

I've been wanting to check Pala out, what's the dues if I may ask? I'm a member of Rainbow, but they've only go out to 100 yds. I've also heard that weekends at Pala are pretty much taken up by matches. Any truth to this?

The dues are $50.00 per year and there is a $15.00 per visit charge too. Until recently, the range was available to recreational shooters only on Mondays and Fridays. Lately, weekend access has been added after the matches. Their website is ncsapala.com. Shooters I have seen are mostly serious hi-power and black powder types and the range officers are pleasant and helpful. Since most of us are firing at silhouettes, cease fires to change targets are infrequent. I really like this place.
