Finally got to the range today and fired a few rounds through this one. I fired a couple of rounds at 50 yards to make sure it was on the paper...

Moved a target down to 100 yards and let fly...

I have trouble with the Mauser triangular sights, so I think this thing could do better with some younger, stronger eyes.

While these are called model 1930's, which they are, they were made post WW11. Many were imported back in the 60's brand new. I remember a local gun shop had a case of them, all new for about 35 bucks each. I still have mine!

Dave, is yours just like this one? 8x57, scrubbed FN, etc?

Israel was buying tons of mil-surp rifles in the late 1940's & 1950's............ it has been opined that several European companies/arsenals/factories/countries sold them much of their surplus inventory that were scrubbed, so as not to annoy the various Arab nations bent on her destruction.

No mine is original 7m/m. I have never seen one in 8m/m., nor one that has been scrubbed. But then I have not seen them all. Do not buy or pay attention to Israel rifles as most have been 'rode hard and put away wet'!
