    Default Garand bayo qestions

I picked up what I think is a garand bayonet. It has a 10" blade and is marked with a U C over a flaming bomb. The bayonet is not dated. Scabbard also has flaming bomb. might this be correct? Sorry, I can't post pics.

    Default Bayonet

Your description sound like common bayonet made during WWII. Intended for M1, used also on 03A3 and 03.

I've been looking for a bayonet for my Garand and 03A3. Is there any thing bad about the cut down bayonets and scabbards? What is the going rate for a bayo and scabbard in good shape? The sets I've been watching on GB are all over $150.

It depends on the maker, and the condition. There's nothing wrong with a cut down bayonet. They are another chapter in history. Watch the prices on ebay for awhile.
