I enjoyed the heart felt plea to buy the item as the original "Owner" is ill an needs to support his family.

It never ceases to amaze me the BS that goes on with ebay. Latest favorite "I think this is a Jap paratrooper bayonet" Buy it now for $1,400. So, once again, they aren't sure what it is but they are positive of what it's worth...LOL Old favorite was the last ditch bayonet listed as a small sword of some kind, maybe Japanese, $1,200.....LOL

The one on auction appears to be a Argentine bayo with a cut down, slimmed blade, said to be Naval (brass grips), also made with wood and alum. grips.
The real interesting one is the DEMAG ternch kife shown above on right. He does not mention it is also a bayo for a G.98 rifle, for use when a regular one was not available (I am guessing). A combination trench knife/bayo (never mind the fighting knife BS). I do not know value, even tho I have one, purchased when that stuff was almost given away! However they are quite scarse, if not rare!
