  1. Default Van Orden Sniper Stock

I have an opportunity to purchase an original Van Orden Sniper stock. It has a low comb, no checkering, and has an oil finish. Condition is excellant. We are trying to negotiate a price. You folks have any idea what this stock may be worth? I've never seen one for sale.

    Thanks!

It matches the stock on my documented Van Orden sniper rifle.

Bob White's Shooter's Corner might have some take-off Winchester Model 70 Marksman style stocks but that's as close I can think of in a used stock.

    1shot,

Did Van Orden make his own stocks?

    Hi Jim:
The family is down in KY caving. Will get back to you Sunday. BTW, I should have about 100 + S&W 1908/1913 serial numbers & associated rifles. Wife now wants me to put the IPhone away!

Thanks, 1shot. I have quite a few myself. Maybe we can compare and both come out ahead. Do you have a copy of Butch Eyeberg's list?

Never been caving - sounds like fun. I have only been in a couple of caves - big ones.

    Jim
