BTT for a nice chest.
Anyone need one? I have another one.
Got it! 80th Infantry Division.
I just found an old M49 spotter (brass data plate 133xx - OD wrinkle, remenants of coated optics sticker) with an untagged M15 in a wrinkle OD finish (no straps, thongs or clamps) and a later M164...

Price update.
Just like it says, I'm looking for a Springfield straight handle J5 (lug stamp) for my project. Worn original finish or NOS, but no polished or modified bolts please. I have bolts to trade if needed.
I have another one for sale.
A nice chest not often seen.
I have a nice M1910 Arms Repair Chest up for sale. This one even has the original labels. Sorry, no tin, tools or parts. This one is rare and not often seen as the similar Chest for the M1917....
I have an unopened rubber eye shield for the M81/M82 scope. The box is marked SNL F-235, Taylor Bros. Co. Cleveland, Ohio. Ordnance inspection / acceptance seal intact by W.L. Steinbach Feb 25 1952....
Thanks gents. I didn't think so either.
Added - just took a bit to pull and add them. Thanks
I'm looking at Springfield 1903 #1089974. I'm suspicious that it may not be legit (NM converted to USMC sniper). It didn't show in my DCM sales book, S/N too low and also didn't surface in Promo's...
How can it be a Bastard thread if I properly "married-up" my base the the receiver? Sorry, couldn't resist.
But seriously.... threads are 8-32, identical to a M1905 bayonet grip screw.
Does anyone have a picture of or provide guidance on making the relief cut for a 1903 stock so I can mount a W-S bracket? Besides the low resolution B&W photos in Brophy, I've never seen what the cut...
Too bad I couldn't link-up with the owner of the above sister receiver to mine. Maybe next time but in the meanwhile, I'll keep searching for a match. Maybe I'll find the M1c scope base I'm looking...
Thanks. I'm researching serial numbers to see what has sold in the past, what is real and what are just regular 1903's drilled and tapped. Guess I'll ping the CMP and see if they've ever had it or...
check your PM
I just picked up a nice W-S 1913 scope (S/N: 7616) with original mount, case and base that was issued to SA 1903 S/N: 936514. It's a long shot and I suspect the odds are greater for winning the...

Looking for excellent condition 1884 parts: buttplate Second Type (small "US" and scooped out), Second Type lock plate (small shield, 1" springfield text with .1" letters). Please pm with offers or...
Thanks for the advice. I can't believe I over looked the fact about oil-case hardening on the parts vice bluing - rookie mistake. The lock plate is a Second Type (1" Springfield and .1" letters -...
