id like better pics of the rear sight as well, and the bolt.. i suspect both are replacments

2 groove would be a 1903A3 barrel.
all 1903 barrels are 4 groove

it was flared at the end to deflect hot gas away from the shooters face if it suffered a case head failure.

greek return likely,on the receiver,
they hot salts blued alot of them, some good some not so good,
plum color is to hot of temp, or depleted salts..or both.
having it reparked would improve...

drawing numbers were used on some replacement parts starting in about 1937. and wernt NM only.
they are uncommon but not rare.
CV marked parts such as sear and cocking rods along with drawing...

someplace i saw a picture of the machine used to sand the wood, a drum sander so to speak,
she was doing Garand stocks in the picture, but 1903 stocks were in the back ground as well.

Keystone and American Billiard and Bowling made scant and C stocks. as far as i know, only keystone, made them with the cut for the A4 bolt.

still has the post and wire, need it re attached.
