Maybe about the time of your barrel date as your serial number falls into a block of numbers ESTIMATED at December 1942. So, maybe your receiver sat around long enough for the February '43 barrel.
An IR by itself in sling well would imply a wartime replacement stock. IP's (and S'G') would have an IR-IP in sling well. There were oval oiler S'G' stocks that were marked IR-IP in sling well.

I bought a couple early mag catches from them about 15 or 16 years ago. My opinion is what I bought were reproductions. They offered me my money back. Again, this was many years ago.
