Thanks!
Isnt that one of the ranges that documented Rough Rider guns are found in?
Model 1896 - 74674
I have a 96 carbine I'd like someone to look up for me, since the SRS books are no longer available.
Wasnt there some photographic evidence floating around of Krags being used for training in the UK leading up to D-Day? I think they were black, segregated troops. I may be having a brain fart here....
Didnt he also sell a Remington M11 in the box for $12k?
A wee pricey for me considering most of the late model "MILITARY FINISH" guns were never issued and are usually found in such condition. I...
That U.S. marking on the side looks a bit contrived to me. Its definitely a riot gun though. US issued without a "P" on the breech of the barrel? Har har
This one's a little better than the Warren Beatty version, although Holliday Grainger is far more beautiful than Bonnie really was. At least they have a couple of BARs, but the couldnt even even find...
The movie with Warren Beatty is mostly glamorized junk. By the time Clyde got out of prison in Texas he was a raging homosexual and his relationship with Bonnie was by this time more of a sibling...
I just recrowned and cut back a 1945 barrel that had a little bit of damage to the muzzle and it was almost embarrassingly easy with the Brownells hand tool. I've heard that 3000 - 4000 rounds is...
Pretty neat 1st year gun with low serial number for an 1899, pre-hump handguard. I cant remember if its in Bropys or Mallory's book, but weren't only a few hundred 1902 carbine sights made?
Is this state marking on this early 99 carbine a volunteer unit or maybe an early state prison system gun? I've seen some trapdoors with state markings on the buttplate but not Krags.
...
Raritan arsenal?

Where'd this front barrel band come from?
I have examples of both, in better condition than that sample. I'll try to post some pics if I get the time.
That with a little crafty wording and a few impressive looking highlights in a book, you can land a real sucker once in a while......

I replied in a PM message rather than clogging up the boards.
Could someone take a look at my post over on the Japanese arms board and tell me what you think of that sword?
