Again thank you all for your wealth of knowledge and help!
From my understanding in talking to multiple FFL's over the years and reading of the section of law it is a definite NO. If the ammo is readily commercial available it is not considered an antique...
I appreciate your replies and will definitely start researching this bayonet.
As indicated red stripe was applied near the muzzle(about 4 inches or so back from the muzzle to denote a different caliber than in use in service. In the case of Commonwealth forces it was shown to...
This past weekend I picked up a 1895 dated Krag bayonet. I knew it looked different with some scattered blueing on the blade. From what info I found about 10k or so were blued in 94 and 95 but the...
I had no idea what forum to post this in.....

+1 with JB! Its a shame.....
Well what would be a fair price for the barreled receiver with other parts as I described. I don't have enough time or patience to do a restoration. TIA!

That brings back memories of demil I saw back in the 80's. Was there any evidence of a reweld?
I agree the finish on the right one looks Greek and is a dead on match for my RIA 1903 Greek return.
My opinion.....Done by a soldier and not factory. Based on having close to 20 Savages over the years and looking at close to another 100.
Duo is a really cool little pistol.....
About 50 cents a round max. The ammo is down on the ladder as far as I am concerned and you can get fresh M2 ball for not too much more. Best of luck...
Thx to all who responded.....
I have a Greek return 1903 RIA serial 322371. Does anything show up? TIA! And what is something like this going for today? Overall 95 percent black Greek repark with a replacement SA 5-29 barrel in...
Like others have said I have seen them on Blue Sky and Arlington imports during the 90s. Most barrels were used heavily and put away wet.
Some nice rifles. As others have said do some light cleaning especially on the 73 and they will be real purty….
