List the serial number here and request someone to do an SRS search. Lots of folks have SRS books and will check for you.

Correct description is new/never issued. Look around and see how many you can find in that condition with provenance to back it up. They are as rare as hen's teeth.

I have a low wood oval cut stock that is marked with an ordnance wheel on the right side and L-J in the sling well. Anyone know who made this stock? I got it on an early Winchester mix-master.

Looks like oil stains to me. I finished a dresser in linseed oil some years ago and somehow a leaky 3 in 1 oil can was placed on it. The can mark is still there after more than 40 years.
