Yes , it is the windage knob on my RIA 1903 . Sorry for that omission . Thank you all for the replies .

what is the best way to remove the windage adjustment knob/screw . mine is bent and is over indexing to the left . any help will be greatly appreciated .

Yes Kaliman , that is what is stamped on the tip of the stock , ( looking at the stock right under the muzzle / bore / crown ) .
