There are a few things that don't look right about the gun.
The butt swivel looks a little high,and the notches in the barrel were put there afterwards...Ithaca trench guns had no notches or faint...

Rick does come across some nice collections.
This one will bring 5500- 6k.
There are some flaws......under the end on the heatshield the barrel has a series of small dents.
And the front bayo...

I think I bid 4500.00 on it because I needed the frame and stock.
I have a mint 6 row and early bomb barrel that would of looked nice on it.

Not even the correct handguard on it.

Heat shield on guard has been replaced.....should be blued.
Other than that looks to be a nice early 97.
The gun needs a nice 6 row guard on it...which would be hard to find.

Also looking for WW1 era model 1897 take down riot gun barrel.
M12 riot barrel must be ww1 era .

Keep in mind that all the Ivanhoe guns had there handguards removed at one time and thrown in a pile.

Is it marked 10R or 10A .

Original 43 dated trench gun barrel excellent condition.
This barrel has all logos but has no WP or bomb proofs.
Looks like it was never installed by the 3 notches.

Tom, I have a WW2 trench gun 97 stock marked the same way.
With the P and no other markings.

The gun has a metal buttplate like Tom mentioned.
Cannot convert back because of the lip.
