Need to find a milled "R" middle band for my 1903 Remington restoration project.
Thanks!
John
Where can I find details on Krags that were used in the National Matches prior to the use of 1903 Springfield's?
Thanks!

I have a cousin to this rifle, 909233!
I have a late Springfield Barreled receiver excellent original finish, 1,526,08X, with a 3-39 Star gauged barrel. I would like to buy a late 1903 Springfield C stock with the drawing number of...
If you were restoring a late M-40, rounded corners would be correct.
Here are some pictures of a late m-40

Hi Dan:
Sorry I couldnt get back you sooner. We were camping over the weekend. I looked at both of the Van Orden snipers. Both barrels have the complete factory address on them.
I will try...
Dan:
Thank you. You are right, they are fun to do but they are getting harder to restore them right. I accumulated a lot of M40 parts and scopes years ago (in my youth). Have enough for one...

I compared the swivels with the ones on another late 6,257,30X M40 that I have. They are identical. The 6,257,30X M40 is an original rifle, one of 19, that were sent to Sionics, Inc. in...
Just completed another M-40 sniper restoration project. Took me about a year on this one. I placed pictures of this late 6 million rifle in my album at:...
Gus; Thank you for the advice. I have a lead on a 6 MM and .308. Lets see if they come through.

Hi Dan:
I followed up on your suggestion. I called Bob and he did not have any bolts right now. But he does get them in from time to time. Great suggestion though!
I think what I might have...
You are right, Remington generally does not sell bolts except to gunsmiths. I checked with Remington, they do not have any of the older style bolts in inventory.
Thanks!
John
On the newer Remington bolts (i.e.) those provided with the M-24's and later 700's, there are inspection marks on the underside of the bolt handle. In addition, the newer bolts have a different...
I am nearing completion of a 6.257 million M-40 sniper. Can anyone tell me where I can find a 1969 vintage Remington 700 .308 bolt? I would need one without the forge marks on the underside of the...

To my knowledge, only the Kollmorgan scope was used for the MC-1. This scope would use the T-4 rings.

Hi Jim:
The family is down in KY caving. Will get back to you Sunday. BTW, I should have about 100 + S&W 1908/1913 serial numbers & associated rifles. Wife now wants me to put the IPhone away!
It matches the stock on my documented Van Orden sniper rifle.
I have an opportunity to purchase an original Van Orden Sniper stock. It has a low comb, no checkering, and has an oil finish. Condition is excellant. We are trying to negotiate a price. You...
I believe it is the only complete M40 they have ever recieved. They were surprised it made it to the auction.

There were at least two individuals, according to folks at the CMP, that wanted this rifle really bad. One was a doctor, the other a high end collector. They both have the funds. Looks like my...
Its up to $12K+ with 6 days to go. Will easily surpass $15K. My guess is that it will hit $20K.
Cheers!
