Are the brass trimmed to proper length? Not too long?
Suggestion....Having shot both Enfield and Springfields the Spring fields are MUCH more comfortable to shoot.
The Enfield stock is too straight so bangs you cheek pretty hard.

My understanding is that a 1903 stacking swivel screw can be made to work also.

Sorry...can't post pics. I did not realize that there were so many different sights. The sight IS a Western unit. I was told that replacing the screw that holds on the side plate with a longer screw...

The ser.no. has a number not an "X". The stamp on the side of the receiver is:
