A very nice stock too. Nice rifle...
It IS a nice carbine. Love the grey park and blue bolt and over all hand worn finish. Great looking carbine.
Try over at the knife forum, they might be more forthcoming. All I can find out is they've been popular since the early 1900s. ...
I need a carbine front sight, tall to match the 1901 Carbine rear sight. Also a carbine handguard for a 1899 model carbine with the hump or a R/C handguard for the 1901 rifle/carbine... I'm in...
I might pay about $100 for that one if it fell right in my lap...but not $1000. That could be as much as half of a real one. I just wonder where the blade for the fake came from.
Here's the admitted fake... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/US-KRAG-Bowie-Knife-/221600713711?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33986e8bef
Very nice equipment set.
I always liked those big guns but could never find a US issue in any condition here in Canada. I had to settle for an Argentine which didn't work well. I sold it and bought a 625 S&W. That one's...
Nice, nice, nice...nice guns and equipment. I was unaware until just now that the ammo came pre clipped like that in box.
What a beauty, unmarked by time and still perfect.
Looks way better, since you can get it apart, there's no reason you can't get all the bends out of it...and now it's worth more than $5...
I have a front sight band...?(base) for a 1903. R marked, with pin and sight blade. Pics by Email? (I'm in Canada) It'll be a good deal.
Aren't those nice. That rod bayonet is just about priceless...
Yes, for that money, I'd get it and have a go at restoring it to serviceable.
I have to agree with Allen, the S&W will be right up your alley. I have a boatload of them too.
Yep, very nice. Nothing mint, all seen good use.
I have one each of Aimpoint and EOTEC and have good to say about both. Neither one's cheap though, maybe that's why I have good to say about them.
Yes, a very nice revolver.
I have a substantial stock of B'Seye, Unique and 231. I buy them when they're at a deal at a show or wherever. These $50 plus taxes prices I speak about are what we've been paying for several years...
Finally have my scabbard, thanks to a member of this forum...03spr was kind enough to make arrangements with me and I have scabbard in hand. Excellent price too! Thanks all!
We pay more like $50 for it and have for about 3 years or so. And you know what? There's nothing we can do about it.
That one looks nice. I'd love to have that myself. Like you say, you can shoot the pi** out of it and not worry.
It's a reaction of the preservative to the Parkerizing solution I think. We've seen lots of rifles that are like that.
Got pics for us?
It's exactly the same as having a car and not knowing how to fix it. It doesn't make all cars faulty. Either learn how to fix it or get a mechanic...
