Thanks for posting a picture Johnny

I forgot about the 45 program (2 years, 14K RGN) until I got an email from the CMP last week. I ordered a field grade and was pleasantly surprised at what I received. Based upon the CMP forum it is...
Thank you for the reply. That’s great. Stay healthy, regards, Curt
Dick, do you still have your old family gun from Mackinac? Now and then when I look over at the Island I think of that rifle. Regards, Curt
That’s great. Sounds like he is on his way to recovery! Best wishes for the upcoming holidays.
Not sure if he will read this but I wish him a speedy recovery. Here is a picture of Fort Mackinac to take your mind off of your rehab, regards, Curt.

I am interested in the type 2 round follower rod if you are going to sell it. Regards, CC
Interesting, thanks for sharing. I had a numbered follower once, but forgot to take it off the rifle when I sold it.
Good luck and thanks for being the caretaker!
Thank you for the information. I will have to check some of my older bolts.
What are the numbers/characters stamped above the drawing number of the left bolt?
Tom, that blued short latch is very nice. Thanks for sharing!
I have one in the 15,6 range that was modified and has a 1895 cartouche. Looks like it may have been in a wet environment.
Very nice, I know of one not quite as nice but it may have been made the same day, within 30 SNs
Thanks all, I have been told it was probably manufactured in the late 40's early 50's by someone who knows scopes (confirms your replies). It is mounted with a Griffin and Howe mount on a custom...
A friend purchase a rifle with this scope. It has a military type reticle in it and was wondering if it could be a military scope from WWII or just a post war hunting scope. Does anyone have any...
The Army recommended Herters or equivalent, not sure what that would equate to today.
