IIRC, the 721 is the longer action versus the 722. Long action 700 bolts are easier and cheaper to find than short action bolts in the secondary market.

Per Brownell's, try Maynard P. Buehler, 17 Orinda Hwy, Orinda, CA 94563, 925-254-3201. Good luck.
Get her a 12 ga Citori O/U that fits her well with a full set of Invector Plus tubes and never look back. Long barrels, 30 or 32 inches, are good.
Careful. Don't give BO's BATE or DOJ any new ideas.
I wouldn't know how to compare the old V target with a current bullseye that tells anybody anything about a firearm's performance.
Figure up what else you want to sell with the rifle, e.g., magazines, sling, and how much $$$ you'd have to get for the package, list it all on GB, this site, M14 site, and Armslist. It's worth what...
If you want the rifle just get it to shoot it or else you'll find yourself in the weeds all the time arguing with other shooters and collectors about whether some part or assembly is correct for the...
Some dealer's about to have a great summer cruise.
Ted Brown will know. He uses a timing block when he needs it.
My, my. My-T-Fine. That goes for everybody's pictured in this photo thread.
Reckon somebody tried to cook up a "project" M1C or M1D without the correct parts? Stranger things have happened. The general shooting public didn't hold the M1 rifle in particularly high regard...
I haven't heard a word or seen a blip clip yet on TV. It'd be miles over the heads of most Americans today, anyway. Greatest Gen wasn't into drugs and free stuff.
Hook was the top of the craft with the classic U.S. service rifles and always a gentleman.
Since the thread's been re-opened, anybody mention Daniel Defense or Bravo Company? Good stuff.
M855 is utility-grade ammo, best barrel, best conditions. We expect it to be AVAILABLE. I'd as soon shoot pellets for accuracy, but I keep a large stash of M855 as insurance against Washington, D.C.
Great info to have. Thank you!
That "5 line" heel marking, long discontinued by SAI, is a feature that makes the pre-63K SAI receivers desirable to shooters and collectors.
Get some help and shop yourself a good M1A from the 70's -early 90's anyway. Probably better build, better parts (USGI).
Put 'em in the ads. Be clear about what you want a price for and what you want a trade for.
I'm a little lost yet but yippee anyway and gazillions thanks to our digital braintrust who executed the upgrade and saved CSP's priceless database.
Ball powder burns greasier than 4895.
Get out the brake cleaner and a dowel rod and some patches on the g/c. You might benefit by peening and tightening while it's down for service anyway.
There were so many super builders and tuners all across the country in the 60's and '70's. If you've got one that's consistently a super shooter with probably IMR 4895 under the SMK 168 it's worth...
Our Lord just left me the message to consider it done.
With acclimation, my Colt semi-auto M4A1 SOCOM trigger is almost 2-stage. Acc to review-type material I've seen (can't recall exactly where), it's the same trigger that went on the burst or or FA...
