    fiber optic front sight for M 1

    Has anyone had experience using fiber optic light gathering or tritium front sights for M1 Garand rifle?
    I'm 76 and thinking of these so my eyes can resolve (see better) for SR-1paper targets.

    what is the correct protocol/action of shooters when a cease fire is yelled?

    1. to immediately lay firearm down and step away.
    or
    2. to make firearm safe and then step away.
