Not listed in the SRS records, but could be a 1920 0r 1921 NM rifle. If it was, it has been drastically altered from the NM configuration.

It is a NRA Sporter. The records are wrong.

Does the front of the receiver ring have a slight radius?

If the front of the receiver ring is rounded instead of sharp, and the rear of the barrel does not have the rear sight fixed base pin detent, it is and was built as a NRA Sporter.

Probably easier and cheaper to restore the M1903-A3, but the SA would be worth more when completed.

Could have been built as a M1903A1 military rifle. They are very scarce as I don't think I have ever seen one. The proof P is in the correct place, and the cartouche ( SA/SPG ) could have been sanded...
