Yes, it is PL marking on the barrell.

Sorry, there is a problem with photobucket and I cannot restore deetailed pictures, but the stock is marked with Ord. Wheel the same as on 03A3 rifles, size is exactly the same as in Mr. Harrison's...

Ser number range is 58 xxx, all markings are exactly the same as on the Rem 31 with Cutts compensator shown in J. Harrisson's book, except instead of an ancor there is some other symbol.

It does look like the way it left the factory as a skeet gun, not like compensator was installed later. It looks like from J Harrison's book page 122 "US Military Arms". But there is not much factory...
