Ser number range is 58 xxx, all markings are exactly the same as on the Rem 31 with Cutts compensator shown in J. Harrisson's book, except instead of an ancor there is some other symbol.

It does look like the way it left the factory as a skeet gun, not like compensator was installed later. It looks like from J Harrison's book page 122 "US Military Arms". But there is not much factory...
