So true, could have bought a fully tricked out 1911, but heck then there would be no fun is doing it myself.
Question. can a pistol length buffer spring an tube be used if building a 20 inch ar, or would the extra pressure generated ruin the tube an spring assembly?
Just picked up my new Springfield Armory 5 incher today. Was going too house her in a Vietnam era general officers holster, but pac rats made a home out of it. Modifications this girl will get is...

An as one girl told me " They are just sooooooo cute " plus they have the power of a .357 mag an are a couple lbs lighter.:icon_lol:
nope, Israel used every cal. weapon they could get their hands on at the time. After awhile they standardized on one cal=nato 308. Since the U.S. at that time was starting to supply arms, this made...
Read in the gun mags a long time ago that Winchester made the bbls. Used to own one an it shot great. But a fire took its young life a while back.
It is good too see they got to you real fast. Sure would of been hell if you had to wait.
Nice, now to get a Sam Brown belt set.
If yours do not have them on, buy a set of rubber grips. Helps with heavy slugs when used.
An even bigger ouch is the 45/70 hand gun loaded to hunting specs.
Thank you.
Yes sir it is. The crest has been polished off, but a weird looking mo66 ( they could be cryptic ? e's ). the previous owner has gouged out the fore stock with what looks like a dull pocket knife. ...
Bought a mauser in 45/70, has a navy arms bbl. which is 18 inches in length. Have yet to shoot it, but when I do the first couple rounds it will be tied to a tire.
Try putting a price an then ship by postal prepaid boxes. You can ship a lot of weight for a lil money.
this may sound weird, but check to see if a part of a cartridge has split off in the chamber area. You can also do a chamber cast to determine exactly what the correct cartridge should be.
No pic's, but I did buy a 91/30. Had to ream out the bayo lug area for the bayo to fit. Have yet to shoot on paper but it does hit a rock at 200 yds.
Also remember that if your chamber is oversized, mark your brass with a perm. marker an reinstall round same way each time. Mark on back of rim that is. An as stated befoe, only neck resize only.
May have pitting an other rough spots. Depends if rust is lite or heavy. If heavy might in up beign trash, if lite a supper good scrubbing might make it into a shooter bbl.
No extra thought envolved, just keeping everything clean. Why do extra cleaning when you do not have to.
If you do have to remove the GS, put a pice of cello tape over the gas hole. This will help keep any cleanner from leaking out. Just remember to remove cello tape piror to reasembly. Also a lil...

:63:Any divice that makes shooting easy to some is worth the price. I wish John could come up with a M-1 Carbine last round hold open device. I hate that last round empty chamber CLICK on my 44...
