At this point I have to assume my barrel is a early dated replacement. 4 groove with a mirror bore. Because of the metal finish I believe the rifle has gone thru a rebuild. All the parts are the same...

Just purchased a Remington 1903A4. Question arises about the barrel date. 3-43 on receiver serial #3418130 which I think dates to August of 43. Could this be the original barrel? Mirror bore. Thanks!
