    Barrel shims

I'm looking for a source for 03 Springfield barrel shims. I was told that even in the Army's manual they listed a P/N. I need .008" of shim if anybody has a source or a few laying around.

Well, now I know why Type 38 bolts are so expensive. I have never shot or even handled a Type 99. If I see the one hole in the front ring of the receiver, I pass it by.

Bolts are hard to find and ebay "asking" price is $100. There is no guarantee that a different bolt will headspace better (longer). You could spend $100 and have the same problem. I have a bare...

If you don't reload, you could have the barrel set back and chamber cleaned up. This is not as easy as on a Mauser or modern Rem 700. Metric threads, coned breech and extractor cut are a few of the...

I paid $450 for a non matching barreled action. The shape, #'s matching and bayonet condition of yours - I would think that $1200 each would be my bottom amount that I would part with them for.

Where to get Spgfld worked on?

I am wanting to get a take off barrel put on my 03 action. The barrel headspaces at about 3 o'clock. If I back it out to index the sight, headspace is too long. While I feel confident in fixing...

Yes, a Barrett would be nice, but I can't imagine humping that up and down hills/mtns. Even a good 338 Lapua is gonna add 6 pounds of weight. Going to a 338 RUM or Edge would keep the weight down,...

I have one that is stamped RF Sedgley on the front receiver ring. It is a 5 digit S/N. Odd thing is that it is not D&T for a receiver sight but it is D&T for a scope base. I can only guess that...
