Thank you. I've noticed that as a barrel wears, accuracy of the lighter bullets goes to Hades first. And when the ammo is slower than spec, that probably is accelerated even more.

I can tell this LC69 Talon is delinked because the link marks are easily seen on the cases. The boxes have the CMP logo and it doesn't say 'remanufactured' it just says 'surplus, released by the US...
I was in the CMP warehouse in Anniston about 3 years ago. They had just got in about 180,000 rifles from Philippines and Turkey. It's most likely one of those.
I never got any rifle with more...
My VAR came with a handwritten sighting card in the buttstock written in Danish which was apparently a cheat sheet telling how many 'clicks' elevation were needed to get on target at various...
Posting on both ammo and M1 garand threads.
I have a quantity of LC 66 lot 422201 and LC 69 'Talon' (repackaged) M2 ammo, which was sold in qty by CMP in the past.
I noticed it didn't shoot as...

I got a Winchester Rack Grade Special last year. I'm quite happy with it.
The park is nice, the wood is nice and fits tight, it came with a milled trigger guard, and there is very little pitting....
Maybe I don't know how to use the buttons, but I don't see a photo. Not sure if you're looking for brass or bullets.
If you have a stainless steel pin tumbler, it can be used to forgive many...

Thanks para. I'm using Hornady FMJ and also Berry plated. I think I have some LRN stashed away somewhere or I might have given it away. My 'beller' is probably still set for LRN bullets so maybe...
Hello,
I'm loading LC M1 Carbine brass (from CMP long ago). Does anyone have experience getting the most life out of these cases? Do they generally split at the mouth, or fail at the case head? ...
Hi,
Can someone (or several people) give me both general and specific info on fire-forming cases in a RPR 6.5CM?
Specific info: Fire forming new, unfired cases...specific recipes. I'm...
So I can post my SA SNs here, and someone will tell me what they find? Is it only for Springfields?
I just came back from the CMP Advanced Maintenance course. They told us to be very careful with bore snakes (they recommended against them) because they've seen several instances of them breaking off...
How do I access it? I have 8 rifles and 4-5 are SAs.

Oh, and what does it tell you?
Gonna change a low-mileage DPMS AR-15 to 300BK. Barrel and block on its way...I have the wrench.
A friend told me I have to change the buffer spring. But I can't find confirmation anywhere....
No. CMP will also do it.
It's basically just reducing the creep on the second stage.
Can someone tell me what an SRS request is, and what it tells you...and where the info comes from. Thanks.
I just came back from the Advanced Maintenance Course at CMP.
They told us op rod damage was common with the wrong ammo. But they said the damage was usually cumulative over time, not a...
I just came back from the Advanced Maintenance Course at CMP. In the nearby CMP armory, they had huge boxes of various parts. Looking among gas cylinders, I saw some that were saw cut. I don't know...
joem...try your sized, empty cases in the gage BEFORE you load them, to see if it's resizing or crimping that's the problem. You might have to just discard cases that won't size correctly and not...
Anyone have experience with Alliant BE-86 in 9mm or .40SW? I'm looking for a low-flash powder for low-light and night shooting. Want moderate to stout loads, probably 125 gr in 9mm and 165 to 180 in...
pm, that looks like a nice New England (or at least NE) landscape. You're using 4064, is that right? IMR or??? I think there are 3 different 4064s, not all the same. Would like info on that...
I think this was for sale at Midway a few months ago.
Hecklerusap, you use this in an AR-10? Forgive me for asking, I know that's my OP, but I've got so many Garand loads offered to me on this post, and 4895 is primarily a Garand powder...never heard of...
