Need help woth Mosin Nagant rifle

A friend just bought a Mosin Nagant rifle, and is looking for information about these rifles. I am a US M1 carbine & Garand guy and of no help to him. Would appreciate suggestions/links to forums/websites having info about the guns, makers, markings etc.
