my m1 carbine is marked T.F.M.who made it?
Where is it so marked? Might be a commercial maker, not Goverment issue. Pictures?
is that what is stamped on the rear of the receiver behind the rear sight? On the barrel behind/below the front sight? or stamped into the stock?
It could be Tristate, Frostburg, Maryland. The company name was Tri State Tool and Die. They are reported to have made only about 100 or so carbines. If that is one, it would be a very rare commercial carbine.
Could the TFM be EEM?
Please post pix here of the serial #, that area on the top of heel of the receiver , behind the rear sight where the TFM is & of every major piece of this rifle, Barrel at muzzle behind front sight, op rod, trigger group, stock cartouches etc...Everyone will want to see it. Thanks.
Probably an ERMA(E.F.M.).
That's what I was thinking Loren but hit the E twice. I think JimB might be closer to the maker then we are. Used cut up USGI receivers and some he got from Universal till ATF took him out.
had never heard of them before...thanks guys.
