2. If you spending more for a gun than you are willing to throw away, research and choose a reputable escrow company to hold the funds until you receive and are satisfied with your purchase.

Yep. W/o ammo they're just something to admire. Problem is, these days, a decent stash of ammo cost more than the gun.
Have him check out the tail/brake lights. My sister had a 2006 (?) Cherokee that had incurable electrical problems. She traded it in towards a new one
