1. Do not deal with someone who is wiling to break federal law by shipping to anyone but an FFL. You can't trust a cheater.
2. If you spending more for a gun than you are willing to throw away, research and choose a reputable escrow company to hold the funds until you receive and are satisfied with your purchase.

That is one mean set up for the man that thinks he has the coolest rifle already. Adding it to his collection would be well worth that "slightly"
Same happened to me. I was very happy with a Berger 135 gn fb bullet in .308, then they stopped producing it. Had a friend making 135s for me using Berger
