I picked up a box of 45ACP ammo that came from an ammo collectors estate

48 rounds all Frankford Arsenal.. head stamp dates from 1911, 1912,1913,1914 all through the 20's and the newest is 1943

The really early stuff had the headstamp dates with month and year.. for example the FA 9-11, FA 1-12, FA 2-12, FA 9-12, FA 10-13.. ( there is no dash in the headstamp, i just entered it this way for readability)

A round from 1916 (FA 10-16) was the last one with the month and year headstamp.

All of this stuff is clean some of it is even still bright..

I know this stuff has to be worth something to somebody, I mean when was the last time you ran across 100+ year old 45ACP ammo?

Now what to do with it........

I have a handful or 2 of old cartridges,
1880's dated 45LC
1891 dated 45-70

some 45acp, dated pre WWI and WWI,

had some 9mm dated to mid WW2, may have given that to a friend,

RCS, keep up the good work, I collect old ammo and cases. I do not load and or fire the old ammo because I do not have to. I still have the primer seaters for con-vexed primers. I check all old cases for cases that have been tinned on the inside.
