I was talking to my brother, a serious history buff, a while back. He mentioned that during WWII there were thousands and thousands of smaller desperate battles that didn't make the news and are unknown today except for the most serious students not just of the conflict but of the individual theaters.

After the Normandy Invasion some channel ports weren't taken but were enclaved. In come cases the arrangement of the Nazis with the Allies was almost cordial. In the case of the subject of this video they were quite the opposite.
