There is an answer for that. Apparently it was a Kurdish mole that gave us the info... And BTW, something I haven't seen published is the report that Trump removing the troops was a part of the operational planning and was approved by the Kurd hierarchy.

I read that too. I'm sure there's a long line of ragheads ready to take on the duties when one gets killed off.

These terrorist groups are like criminal gangs, a boss is rubbed out, a lot of people get to move up, have their slates wiped clean, perhaps the new guy won't rule with such a heavy hand, etc.
