if you ever make it to the East Coast, head to Charleston SC,
over in Mt Pleasant (just across the river) you can tour an Aircraft Carrier, Destroyer type (IIRC) and a Diesel sub,

I cannot remember the names of each, (been 15 yrs or so) but do recall the sub was very tight inside

Not... quite that crowded but some scenes sure were familiar from the '80s... and I was on a honking big Tender.

The carrier is the York Town, been in the sub. but also don't remember the name...
