I had a M1903 recently given to me by my Uncle. It’s not a hunting rifle made by Winchester so he did not want it anymore. Was sold to him from a WW2 Army Doctor over 30 years ago and lived in a closet with an Arisaka and VZ-24 with waffens all over it. I got it covered in dust and latex paint. I know its a Remington and dated late 1942. There is so much on the web I do not know what’s right and wrong. It is in pretty good condition for a 77 year old military rifle. I know the sling is a repro. Any help is appreciated. I do not know if I am going to keep it or sell it. I have no need for it and am not into Military Rifles but would love to know more about it. There are a lot of Rs on it and FJA stamped on the side. I posted on the CMP forum but have only received one brief reply.

Thank you in advance. Here is a link to more hi res photos on google. I decided to take a lot of them.

So, in looking at https://www.remingtonsociety.org/1903-and-1903a3-production-and-serial-no-table/. It’s a late 42 or early 43 last of the M1903. Made with parts from both the A3 and M1903. Any additional help is appreciated thank you.
