Paradise for WW2 firearm enthusiasts for at least 2 days a year. On Friday and Saturday, there was a D-Day re-enactment on the beaches of Conneaut, Ohio that attracted 100 WW2 vets and 1500 WW2 re-enactors (US, British, and German who camped in tents) in full battle uniforms with their M1 Garands, M1903s, 03-A3s, Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk 1s and Mausers. Hundreds of old rifles, machine guns, old artillery guns, mortars, 8 Sherman and Panzer tanks, dozens of restored jeeps, trucks, cars, USO shows and vendors selling old and new stuff. They staged a beach landing with old restored landing craft with air support from 3 replica P51 Mustangs, and bombers. The real invasion was the untold thousands of spectators who decended on the little Ohio town to take in all the action. The participants came from all over the mid western US and Canada. They do it every year, so check it out for 2019.
