Last fall I glommed an FN SPR at an online auction. I believe it is a "fist generation", because it has a 26" barrel and an H-S stock.

I mounted a Bushnell Elite ERS 6-24x50 scope on it

At any rate, good weather and free time finally coincided and I got to the range with my SPR. I didn't have much time and also had a few other rifles to zero. By the time I got this on target, I didn't have many FGMM rounds left.

175gr FGMM @ 100 yards. (4 shot group just under 1"). I'm encouraged and believe that I can do better with some handload development and practice.

Very nice. My SPR with a 20" fluted out of the box is more accurate than my built 700. You are going to enjoy that critter. Congratulations on a great rifle.

Thanks. I've seen the thread on your rifle--beautiful.

The mil-hashes on the scope are dead on. Once I got on target, I used them to zero the scope and they were amazingly precise.
